Hi,

Is there any planned support for the upload button in extractor to connect via an authenticated http proxy server?

You haven't registered with GigajamOnline, why not register today and join in. The first lessons are available for free as is this section of the forums.

Hi Jeff,

Thanks, this is a great point.

I think we have concentrated the support for uploading on our schools site where most of the activity takes place.

Can I recommend these videos which I think cover how to record performances into Xtractor, receive analysis and then upload to your portfolio. I will look at how we improve the general support area in the meantime.

MIDI Setup : Part 2

In this video we demonstrate how to use the SETUP box on the X5 to select your input and output devices to connect your MIDI instrument to your computer.

Gigajam Automatic Upload from X5

Gigajam's new VLE version contains a locker area where students can upload their performances. Using our windows version of Xtractor/Analyser, you can set Xtractor to automatically drop a file into your portfolio by enabling an Upload button and setting your account details in the software. In this video we show how to set up Xtractor to do this.

If you have any specific questions then let me know and I will get those answered.

Best wishes,

Brian

Hi,

The update check when extractor starts uses the standard Internet Explorer connection settings, and uses my proxy connection correctly (i.e. It prompts me for a password)

Clicking the upload button seems to try to use the proxy, as the Error message comes from the proxy server saying Auth Required.

Manual upload works fine, I am just lazy and would like to use the upload button.

Dear Jeff,

I have a better answer now I have spoken to my lead developer. There was n't planned support for proxy server, there now is.

We will be issuing some changes shortly, can you bear with us a couple of weeks?

Best wishes,

Brian
